Service Manual Suzuki GN250 Motorcycle 1982-1983

The GN250 started life in 1983 on the back of the revival of the 250cc singles and was given the custom styling. Despite it’s limited appeal, it has stood the test of time and is still in production in 2005. The engine is robust and features a 4 valve head, where the two exhaust ports vent to a two-into-one pipe with megaphone exhaust.
The front down pipes comprise of a small bore pipe running inside the larger chrome outer pipe, which can only be to reduce noise, but does make the exhaust system expensive to replace. 1. Disconnect and isolate the battery ground cable, 2. Loosen the fan drive belt and remove the bolts securing the radiator fan shroud and cooling fan. 3. Remove the shroud fan. 3. Remove the accessory drive belts and the water pump pulley. Camshaft sprocket timing mark. 1.3L SOHC engine, models built before June 1993. Crankshaft timing belt pulley bolt, Punch mark, Arrow mark, crankshaft timing belt. Valve lash adjustment. 1994 and earlier 1.3 L SOHC engine. On the sidekick models, follow this guide : Install the fan shroud. Connect the upper radiator hose and adjust the coolant level as required. Install the water pump pulley, engine cooling fan and the drive belt. Refer to last page for proper belt tension.
