The GN250 started life in 1983 on the back of the revival of the 250cc singles and was given the custom styling. Despite it’s limited appeal, it has stood the test of time and is still in production in 2005. The engine is robust and features a 4 valve head, where the two exhaust ports vent to a two-into-one pipe with megaphone exhaust.
The front down pipes comprise of a small bore pipe running inside the larger chrome outer pipe, which can only be to reduce noise, but does make the exhaust system expensive to replace. Suzuki highly recommends that you use a child restraint system to restrain infants and small children. Many different types of child restraint systems are available; make sure that the restraint system you select meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Hook the top strap to the anchor bracket and tighten the top strap according to the instructions provided by the child restraint system manufacturer. When routing the top strap, be sure to pass it between the head restraint and the rear seat back as shown. INSTRUMENT PANEL, Warning and Indicator Lights, Speedometer/Odometer/Tripmeter, Tachometer, Fuel Gauge, Temperature Gauge, Instrument Light Brightness Control, Rear Window Wiper/Washer Switch (If Equipped), Rear Window Defroster Switch (If Equipped), Cigarette Lighter and Ashtray, Clock (If Equipped), Glove Box, Heater System, Air Conditioning System (If Equipped), AM(/FM) Radio with Digital Display (If Equipped). Seat Belt Inspection Periodically inspect the seat belts to make sure they work properly and are not damaged. Check the webbing, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorages, and guide loops. Replace any seat belts which do not work properly or are damaged.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery ground cable, 2. Loosen the fan drive belt and remove the bolts securing the radiator fan shroud and cooling fan. 3. Remove the shroud fan. 3. Remove the accessory drive belts and the water pump pulley. Camshaft sprocket timing mark. 1.3L SOHC engine, models built before June 1993. Crankshaft timing belt pulley bolt, Punch mark, Arrow mark, crankshaft timing belt. Valve lash adjustment. 1994 and earlier 1.3 L SOHC engine. On the sidekick models, follow this guide : Install the fan shroud. Connect the upper radiator hose and adjust the coolant level as required. Install the water pump pulley, engine cooling fan and the drive belt. Refer to last page for proper belt tension.
