Carine Roitfeld's latest Vogue cover is finally here and it s magnifique!
Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the cover of the March issue features 29-year-old model Saskia de Brauw, who opened Narciso Rodriguez’s show just this week

From our amis at French Vogue comes Carine Roitfeld's last cover for the March edition of the glossy. It features Dutch model Saskia de Brauw, photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott as a sort of video screen shot.Roitfeld previously dropped hints about the cover to Style.com, saying, "Now I found a new girl called Saskia. She has short hair, no one knows her, and this is going to be my last cover." Roitfeld said she was introduced to Saskia by Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci.

We’ll Know Who’s Replacing Carine Roitfeld Next Week/Qui pour remplacer Carine Roitfeld à la tête de Vogue ?

Of course, both women have their pros and cons — Alt might continue right on in Roitfeld’s footsteps, which some industry observers said flew in the face of Conde Nast bosses who wanted her to be friendlier to the magazines advertisers. But she already knows how to work within the magazine’s production schedule and budget constraints. Mouzat’s intellectual take on fashion might turn off some of the magazine’s current readers, and running an entire magazine would certainly take some getting used to. Then again, maybe she’ll be totally brilliant and bring French Vogue into the digital age — she already tweets, which is one step ahead of where Roitfeld was.
We think both women would make fantastic editors in chief for French Vogue. So now all we have to do is wait and hope that Jonathan Newhouse doesn’t throw us a curve ball and hire someone ridiculous and unexpected.
