On the 2011 SAG Awards red carpet, barely-there lips, brown eyeshadow and lush lashes were the big beauty winners for many of Hollywood's leading ladies.<<
Nude Lips
With many starlets going heavy on the eyes or simply paring down their beauty looks altogether, it was no surprise that the classic nude lip was so popular for the pout. "Dexter" star Julia Stiles was a prime example of doing the beauty balancing act. Her makeup artist Jake Bailey gave her a dramatic smoky eye, so he opted for the nude lip that he lined with COVERGIRL Lip Perfection in Smoky (how ironic!), then filled in with the brand's Lip Perfection in Delish.
Hillary Swank's look was soft and neutral to complement her champagne-colored Versace gown. Makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua used Chanel Lip Definer in Beige to line the mouth, then moistened the lip with Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lip Colour in Canotier. SAG Award nominee and new mom Amy Adams kept her look fresh and simple with a sheer glossy lip and minimal eye makeup.
Brown Eyeshadow
Both brown and bronzed hues graced the eyes of many an A-lister -- ranging from dramatic contours to low-key looks. Saucy Sofia Vergara rocked a Brigitte Bardot inspired style that makeup artist Kayleen McAdams created a brown, smoky eye for using CoverGirl LiquiLineBlast in Brown Blaze close to the lash line and the bottom of the eye from the inner to outer corner. McAdams then added CoverGirl Eye Enhancers in Coffee Shop over the liner to soften it and brought that color all the way up to the crease of her eye, finishing it off with a thin line of CoverGirl LineExact in Black Brown right at the lash line to add thickness before adding three coats of CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Very Black.
Mom-to-be Natalie Portman exuded that pregnancy glow from head to toe but opted for a soft coppery shimmer shadow that almost matched her brown eyes exactly. Meanwhile, "Glee" star Dianna Agron went rocker-chic with her own take on the brown, smoky eye makeup that actually wrapped around the eye. The actress paired the heavy lids with a romantic, rosy lip.
Lovely Lashes
"Glee's" Lea Michele rocked some seriously thick, lush lashes that matched her equally voluminous, shiny mane, which she also kept lengthy. Paired with pale pink lips, her lashes were a standout. Angie Harmon, who looked ethereal with illuminated skin and a pink princess dress, also kept her beauty focus on the eyes by adding feathery fringe that her makeup artist Spencer Barnes accentuated with a bit of NARS Black Moon Eyeliner Pencil. Eva Longoria owned the trend by sporting spectacularly long and meticulously defined lashes that highlighted her shimmery, silver lids.
